Information we collect
When you contact us, request a quotation or sourcing guide, or discuss an OEM/ODM project, we collect the information you choose to provide: your name, email address, company, telephone number, message and attachments. Required fields are marked on each form. Please do not include payment-card details, identity documents or sensitive personal information in attachments.
We also process the page from which you submit a request and, where present, campaign parameters such as utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign. Remembering campaign information across pages and optional website analytics require your Cookie consent. Technical information, such as IP address, browser information and security logs, may be processed to operate the website and protect it against abuse.
Why we use information
- To answer enquiries, prepare quotations, arrange samples and discuss product development or orders: to take steps at your request before a contract, perform a contract where applicable, or pursue our legitimate interest in communicating with business customers.
- To send a sourcing guide or other document that you request: to fulfil that request. Requesting a document does not by itself subscribe you to unrelated marketing.
- To provide support, maintain business records, secure our website and prevent abuse: our legitimate interests in operating and protecting our business, and legal obligations where applicable.
- To measure visits, campaign performance and successful enquiries using optional analytics: your consent. We do not intentionally send form message text, names, email addresses, telephone numbers or attachments to Google Analytics.
Cookies and your choices
Essential cookies support website functions and remember your privacy choice. Optional statistics are off until you accept them. You can reject optional cookies and still browse, request a quotation or download a requested guide. Use the Cookie settings control on any page to change or withdraw your choice. Service providers and external links
Our website uses WordPress and its form tools to store enquiry records; ChemiCloud for hosting; FluentSMTP and Brevo for email delivery; Google Drive through UpdraftPlus for backups; and TranslatePress to provide language versions. With your consent, Google Analytics 4 and Jetpack/Automattic statistics measure website use. These providers process information as required for the relevant service.
Some pages currently load font files or styles from Google Fonts. When your browser retrieves those resources, Google receives technical request information such as your IP address and browser details. These presentation-resource requests are separate from optional analytics.
WhatsApp and social-media links take you to separate services only when you choose to use them. Their privacy policies apply to activity on those services. Public product videos hosted on our website can be played without accepting analytics cookies.
Where information is processed
We operate in China and serve customers internationally. Enquiries may be accessed by our team in China, and hosting, email, analytics and backup providers may process information in other countries. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Contact us for information about the providers and transfer arrangements relevant to your enquiry, including any applicable contractual safeguards.
How long we keep information
- Website enquiry records, attached files and sourcing-guide request records: up to 36 months from submission, unless we need to retain particular records for an active order, a legal obligation or a legal claim. Related ongoing business correspondence may be retained for as long as needed for those purposes.
- Website email-delivery logs: 90 days.
- Scheduled website backups: the latest 7 daily file backups and 14 daily database backups. Separate manual recovery copies may be retained while needed for maintenance. Deleted information may remain in a protected backup until that backup is replaced.
- Cookie choices: 30 days. Campaign information remembered in your browser: up to 30 minutes within the browser session after consent.
- Analytics: retention depends on the service and type of record. Google Analytics user- and event-level information is subject to its property retention controls; aggregate reporting has separate retention. We review the need for analytics information and can provide the current settings on request. Cookie expiry is described separately in the Cookie Policy.
Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. Send requests to helen@jarhouselife.com; we may need reasonable information to verify your identity. You may complain to your local data-protection authority, including the authority in your EU country of residence where applicable.
Children and policy updates
This is a business-to-business website intended for adult business contacts. Although we manufacture baby products, our enquiry services are not directed at children. Please contact us if a child has submitted personal information. We may update this policy when our services or data practices change; the date above identifies the latest version.
